FSEOG Grants

Grants Dept.

From the Office of Administration

FSEOG Grants or Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant and the money provided with it is reserved for those select students with the highest demonstrated financial need. These students will also have the lowest Expected Family Contribution. If you are receiving a Pell Grant already, you have priority status for receiving the FSEOG, as well. The amount you can be given with this particular grant can be from $100 to $4000 per school year; depending on your financial need at the time.

This is how it works, institutions are given a set amount of federal money under this school grant program , and it is up to them how they decide how much aid to give to any one student in need, so the amount of money you may receive depends on the policies of your particular school and their grant program. To receive money from the FSEOG (Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant), you need to apply for financial aid or grant aid as early as possible, so that the money has not been awarded before you have completed your application process.

Remember it is critical to apply for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant as soon as you know what school and classes you are wanting to take.
